New Boots!
After visiting 7 stores, and trying on 16 pairs of boots, over 2 days (about 8 hours total) I finally found a pair of backpacking boots that work for me - Meindl's Island Lady Pro. I was almost sold on the $25 socken to. Well-engineered socks, I tell ya - air channels, left and right socks, 50 different materials...
