Totally Awesome Vancouver Day

OK, today is a day that really makes me realize why people love Vancouver, why so many say we are so lucky here and why Vancouverites who know this brag about our city.

Had one of my best days skiing this year up at Cypress. Heck, this has been my best year ever. A few inches of barely tracked powder remained in some places, and later in the day, the snow turned into really fun, forgiving, slushy spring conditions. A gorgeous blue sky framed a still very wintery looking scenery atop Black Mountain. The views on a clear day are just awesome -- my favourite is just off the top of Sunrise chair. Then there are the views of the city, of the Lions and of Howe Sound.

Just 30 minutes from the mountain, we're back in Vancouver. The cherry blossoms and daffodils all over the city are really going now. Views of Ambleside, Stanley Park, and English Bay are just stunning, no matter how many times I've seen them.
